Most Precious Blood parishioner and volunteer, Rose Holmes, recently wrote about her volunteering experience. “Last summer I saw Roseann Furbush (our Pastoral Associate) rush between parishes setting up for Mass. I asked how I could help. Roseann tasked me with opening the Church, setting up for Mass and closing the church. She gave me an easy to follow list of steps to accomplish the tasks. Roseann gave me a gift. Getting involved meant meeting the priests - seeing them off the altar as neighbors, and chatting with other parishioners who are all wearing multiple hats covering Masses. I feel a greater connection with my faith and our collaborative as a result. Entering the Church when it's quiet and talking with God as I set up is a powerful experience. We hear terms like “walking alongside each other” and “worshipping in community.” These things matter. We strengthen each other in faith. We learn from each other. We support each other.” We encourage you to consider volunteering in our parishes. It is truly a rewarding experience! Many of our volunteer opportunities are listed in our newsletter. If you would like to volunteer as a Liturgical Coordinator, please contact Roseann Furbush at [email protected] or call her at either parish office.
